About
Hi— I'm Matthew. I'm passionate about mathematics.
I'm a student at Vanderbilt University, where I'm double majoring in Mathematics and Human & Organizational Development, with a minor in Generative AI. I was awarded the Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholarship — a four-year, full-tuition merit scholarship.
Outside of class, I tutor students in SAT math and stay involved in the issues I care about.
Projects & initiatives
Massachusetts Bill H.4210— Earlier Dyslexia Screening: This bill is my proudest achievement, helping to prevent the late diagnosis of dyslexia for students in Massachusetts.
RequestATest.net — I created a website with a letter template parents can use to request dyslexia screening for their child.
Eagle Scout — I participated in scouting from ages 6–17, achieving every rank and hiking over 40 mountains. For my Eagle Scout Service Project, I installed "No Idling" signs at schools to help reduce carbon emissions.
Co-author:The Carbon Almanac (Amazon Editors' Pick, translated into 20+ languages) and Generation Carbon: It's Time to Start (5-star rating, over 1 million downloads).
